Unlike the ground-nesting Brown Booby or the cliff-nesting Red-tailed Tropicbird, Red-footed Boobies are the only common boobies on the island that build nests in trees and bushes. The Red-footed Booby is the smallest of all boobies, but often forages hundreds of kilometers away from Christmas Island. [0175]
