The Lark Quarry Dinosaur Trackways shelter, constructed in the early 2000s to protect the fossilised footprints from weathering and erosion. The design was carefully engineered to maintain stable temperature and humidity inside, since the tracks are preserved in fragile mudstone that can deteriorate quickly under Queensland’s extremes.
